Obituary of Stephen Bomberowich

Stephen Bomberowich age 81 of Glenolden passed away on March 26, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. A U.S. Army veteran served during the Korean War, he retired from the Philadelphia Naval Yard and previously worked for Belmont Iron Works and Westinghouse. Steve was a great athlete who excelled in baseball. He was a giving man who constantly bought and gave away food and other goods to many grateful people. His sense of humor was one of the most valuable gifts he shared with those around him. He loved to sing especially in the choir and at family events. He was a true example of hard work, dedication, compassion and love. His faith was strong and of great comfort, he told many "how truly blessed he was". Predeceased by his parents Stephen and Mary Bomberowich and his sister Mary Ann Fenner. Survivors: Beloved wife of 53 years Ann Bomberowich. Loving and devoted children Linda (Robert) Sobol, Stephen Bomberowich and Michael (Christine) Bomberowich. Cherished grandchildren who were the light of his life, Stephanie (Steve), Rachel, Lauren, Deanna and Stevie and nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Funeral Mass: Monday, April 1 at 12 noon at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Dr., Secane, PA. 19018 Viewing: 10-12PM in the church. Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
