Obituary of Theresa A. Vaccaro

Theresa A. Vaccaro (nee Rizzo) 86 of Glenolden died peacefully in her home on March 8, 2013. Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, Theresa moved to the Philadelphia area after her marriage to James Vaccaro. Theresa retired after 25 years as a Teachers Aide for the Southeast Delco School District. A longtime resident of the Briarcliff section of Glenolden, Theresa was a founding member of the Briarcliff Swim Club. She was a parishioner at Our Lady of Fatima Church for over 60 years and a member of the Senior Citizens Club of Briarcliff. Theresa loved spending time with her family, going to the pool & beach, and listening to music. Predeceased by her beloved husband James Vaccaro of 62 years, her parents Carmen & Calogera Rizzo, her brothers Charles & Tony, and her sister Nora. Survivors: 5 loving daughters, Marie (Ken) Allen, Theresa Vaccaro, Kathy (the late Michael) Rafferty, Norita DeSumma, and Jamie (John) Glanfield. Cherished grandchildren, Kelly, Neal, Kevin, Michael, Matthew, Nicholas, Melanie, 5 great grandchildren, and Dear sister Pauline (Dominic) Gennello.
