Obituary of Janet R. Gerow

Janet R. Gerow age 95 a longtime resident of Folcroft, PA. went home to be with the Lord on March 6, 2013 after a brief illness. Welcoming her home to heaven was the Lord whom she longed to worship the way He deserves to be worshiped, her husband of 54 years C. D "Jerry" Gerow, her parents James B. and Marguerite B. Robertson and her Son in Law Shedric J. Douglas. Jr. Left behind to miss her are her children, James (Amy) Gerow of Audubon, PA., Elizabeth Gerow of Glenolden, PA., Margaret (Joselino) Copa of Houston, TX., Charlotte G. Douglas of Barnwell, SC. and Robert (Gloria) of Chattanooga, TN., 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Mary R. Ives of Honey Brooke, PA. as well as Sisters in law Margaret Gage of Salisbury, MD., and Louise Gerow of Ephrata, PA. All of us loved her dearly. Janet will be remembered as a faithful Christ-follower "Whose adornment is the hidden person of the heart, the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit which is precious in the sight of God."(1 Peter 2:3-4) Janet and her husband Jerry served the Lord as missionaries with World Venture in Argentina for over 30 years and after their retirement remained active members of First Baptist Church of Collingdale.
