Obituary of Joseph R. Scheivert

Joseph R. Scheivert "Joe" age 81 of Glenolden formerly of Lenni passed away peacefully on January 19, 2013 at home. A graduate of St. Agnes High School in West Chester Pa. Joe retired in 1971 after 21 years of service in the United States Air Force where he saw active combat during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He worked on computers and electronics for Sweda International for 17 years and formerly owned and operated Aston Field and Stream Gun Shop. He also was part owner of E&S Cash Register Company in Collegeville, Pa. Joe was a member of the American Legion Post 87, Lenni (currently 926) and the VFW Aston, 6613. He was a member of the Elks Club and the Briarcliff Senior Citizen. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and trips to the family cabin. Survivors: Beloved wife of 16 years Pat Prior-Scheivert (nee Puliti) Loving Children, Maurice J. (Irene) Scheivert and Lisa (Guy) Urbani, Stepchildren, Brenda (Gerry) Butz, Iris (Larry) Bryson, Karl (Theresa) Prior, Raymond (Jude) Prior, Patrick Puliti and Maria (Jeff) Barrow. Cherished Grandfather of 15 and Great Grandfather of 5. Funeral Mass: Thursday at 11am at St. Joseph Church, 500 Woodlawn Ave. Collingdale, PA.19023.
