Obituary of Marianne W. Collins

Marianne W. Collins 94 a longtime resident of Collingdale passed away on January 2, 2013.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Kathryn Williams.
She was a graduate of South Philadelphia Girls High School and Taylor Business College.
Marianne was employed by the Collingdale Borough as a Borough Clerk and was previously a Crossing Guard.
She was an active member of the Collingdale Seniors Citizens, the Collingdale Republican Party-Committeewomen for the 4th precinct.
She was previously involved as a Sports Mother and Band Mothers at Collingdale High School and an honorary member of the Alumni Association. Marianne and her late husband helped build the foundation for the Collingdale Swim Club where she was active with the Swim Team and worked in the Snack Bar.
Predeceased by her husband Samuel L. Collins III, her son Frank C. Collins, sisters Kathryn and Sally, Brothers Charles, John, Frank and James.
Survivors: Sons, Samuel L. (Janet) Collins and Marc S. (Denise) Collins, Daughters Sally (John) Spear and Nancy R. Collins. Grandchildren Matthew and Jeremy Collins, Carrie (David Reich) Collins, Laura (Joseph) Collins-Sawicki and Kathryn S. (Robert) LeConey and Great Grandchildren Colby and Vonn Sawicki and Desmond Reich.
Sister Betty Manuel and nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service: Saturday, 11AM at Glenolden Congregational Church 115 S. Scott Ave. Glenolden, PA. 19036.
Visitation: 10-11AM in the church
