Obituary of Frank W. Perillo

Frank W. Perillo Sr. 82 of Collingdale passed away peacefully on November 4, 2012 after a long 6 year battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Born in Collingdale, he was the son of Italian immigrants the late Frank and Henrietta Iaccone.
Frank graduated Collingdale High School and completed his graduate studies at Villanova University. He taught Accounting and Collection Procedures at Penn State University.
Frank retired after 37 years as the Senior Executive Assistant Commissioner of the Mid Atlantic Region for the IRS. He practiced tax accounting for local citizens and was a Barber for family and friends.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran stationed on the USS Midway during the Korean War.
Frank was a public advocate and piler of the community, he was instrumental with continuing to save our schools. He was a founding member and President of the Collingdale Swim Club and Collingdale Library and a member of the Collingdale Alumni and Collingdale Citizens Association.
Frank always had a positive attitude and a high level a determination that he instilled in his family and the community; He enjoyed life and loved spending time with his dear wife, children and grandchildren especially in Ocean City, NJ. He was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed discussing his Italian roots. He will be missed dearly.
Survivors: Beloved wife Lena "Kitty", daughters Sandra Perillo, Debra(Richard) Henne, Hetty (Peter) Sokolowski, Cathy(Joseph) DiMarco, Gina(Robert Birzes) Perillo, Son Frank(Debra) Perillo, Jr., and eight grandchildren. Sister, Rita Iannetti and cousin, Jeanie Shapin.
Funeral Mass: Saturday, 11:30AM at St. Joseph Church, 500 Woodlawn Ave. Collingdale, PA. 19023.
Viewing: 9:15-11:15AM in the church.
