Betty J. Dunn, 80 a lifetime resident of Glenolden passed away suddenly on October 30, 2012 at home. For the past 25 years, Betty has served as the Minority Judge of Elections for the sixth precinct of Glenolden. She was instrumental in the Women's Auxiliary of the Glenolden Boys Club, and in her later years, she was involved in planning of the Glen-Nor High School reunions. She was an absolute avid sports fan. She also enjoyed Ocean City, NJ and all of her pets. An expert seamstress, Betty was equally gifted at baking, creating masterpieces for friends and family. She enjoyed gathering with her childhood friends and eating with her "Sunday Breakfast Club." Above all else, her greatest joy was being a mother. Predeceased by her husband Ronald L. Dunn, her parents John and Pauline Gamble and step daughter Marie Gamble. Survivors: Six loving Children Larry (Patricia), Kathleen, John (Paula), Richard "Skip" (Frances), Peter (Maureen) and Paul (Melody), 9 Cherished Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson. Sister of Glen (Linda) Gamble and David(Connie) Gamble and also nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial Service: Sat. 2PM at McCauland Garrity Funeral Home, 202 S. Chester Pike Glenolden, PA. 19036 Visitation: 10-2PM at the funeral home. Burial: Private Contributions: Delaware County SPCA, 555 Sandy Bank Rd. Media, PA. 19063 and Flowers would be appreciated.
