Joseph A. McBride age 66 of Glenolden passed away on October 15, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. Joe graduated St. James High School and Widner University with his degree in Business Administration. He was Vice President Board Member of the Philadelphia Israel Chamber of Commerce. Joe started his banking career in 1968 with Central Penn National Bank then moving to Bank Leumi Le Israel and retiring in 2011 from PNC Bank where he was the Vice President of Commercial Lending. Joe was involved with PIAA basketball as a referee. He was a devoted Parishioner of St. George Church. He was active with the St. George Youth Group, Glenolden Youth Group and Glenolden Fourth of July Association, where he served as parade marshal for over 20 years. Predeceased by his parents John and Marie McBride and his brother Ted McBride. Survivors: Beloved husband of 42 years of Mary Jo McBride (nee O'Mahoney). Loving Father of Jennifer (Nicholas) Altamuro and Joseph A. (Jennifer)McBride. Cherished grandfather of Madeline and Nathaniel McBride, Caroline and Nicholas Altamuro. Dear Brother of Joanie McBride, Pat O'Connor, Roger (Karen) McBride, James McBride, Marie (Mike) Doody, Michael McBride and many beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass: Saturday, Oct 20, at 12PM at St. George Church, Lamont Ave. Glenolden, PA. 19036. Visitation:10AM-12 PM in the church Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield. Contributions: Joe's family request no flowers and that contributions would be appreciated if they where sent to St. George Youth Group, 22 E.
