Obituary of John J. Munro

John J. Munro age 75 a longtime resident of Collingdale passed away on September 26, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Philadelphia, John graduated St. Thomas More High School, Class of 1954 where he was a member of the Alumni and currently a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Collingdale. He served in the National Guard in 1957. John retired in June from the Nevyas Eye Assoc. where his was a driver for the patients and previously worked for the Dairy Industry and was a member of Teamster Union Local #463. In the 1970's John was active with the Collingdale Athletic Club and still today actively attends his grandchildren activities and games. He enjoyed the beach with his family especially at Wildwood, NJ. Predeceased by his parents John C. and Elizabeth Munro. Survivors: Beloved wife Kathleen Munro (nee Maguire). Loving children John J. (Michelle), Joseph M. (Chris), James M. (Sharon), Paul A. (Teri) Munro and special nephew William Shields. Dear Brother of William P. Munro, 9 cherished grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
