Barbara Sue Maloney age 71 of Nether Providence passed away on February 17, 2012. A graduate of Melrose Academy, Gwynedd Mercy, Haheneman School of Nursing, Delaware County Community College. She worked at Riddle Memorial Hospital in the medical technology program, served as a private nurse for many years. She loved her nursing career and kept current with the changes in medicine. She was a member of Laurentians, a licensed Registered Nurse and a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologist (AACP) nursing association. Barbara served as a Eucharistic minister, initiated a senior citizens program, brought the Eucharist to the home bound and served at parish masses and ceremonies at her beloved St. Johns parish. Her joys were her church, her family and it's history, her friends, neighbors, her pets and remembrances of her days at the beach house in Stone Harbor helping others. She is survived by many cousins and a large extended family consisting of friends, nursing colleagues, member of her parish, St. John's Chrysostom Church and neighbors. Barbara will be missed by all. Funeral Mass: will be held on Fri., Feb 24, at 10:30AM at St. John Chrysostom Church, 617 Providence Rd. Wallingford, PA. 19086. Viewing: Fri., 9-10:30AM in the church Burial: SS.
