Carl J. Saalbach Age 94, A devoted Christian Carl J. Saalbach, age 94, of Chestnut Ridge formerly of Collingdale passed away on Jan. 22, 2012. Born in Brockton, Mass, he was a graduate of Collingdale High School Class of 1934. He graduated Taylor Business School and attended the University of Pennsylvania Business School. A Coast Guard Veteran, he served during WWII. Carl worked as an accountant for numerous public and private practices; He retired as Vice President of Finance for the Building Products Division of Chromolly American. Carl was a longtime, devoted member for over 80 years of the First Baptist Church of Collingdale, where he married his wife on Jan. 17, 1942. Predeceased by his beloved wife Anne Saalbach and his brother Raymond Saalbach and his sister in law Dorothy MacFarlane. Survivors: Loving father of Carl (Sandy) Saalbach and Linda (Mike) Trimberger. Cherished Grandfather of Gretchen Saalbach, Gwen(Dave) Scheirer, Ginger Saalbach and Carl James Saalbach IV and Great Grandfather of Ian and Carissa Scheirer.
