I am truly blessed to have had you for my mother. There could be no better mother than you, and no greater friend. I love you with all my heart forever.

I didn't know your mother well, but I remember her never-ending precious smile. She was always happy. She seemed to light up when she'd see someone. It was a pleasure to be in her comforting presence. I remember watching her sweetness and wondering if she EVER got mad. One would never guess she suffered a tragic loss in her life. How blessed to have her as a loving mother and positive role model! She's now among some of our other angels (Tony/Warren/Uncle Kevin). Someday she will greet us at Heaven's gate with her heartwarming smile! I'm so sorry for your loss. She left behind a wonderful family. I'm sure God said, " Job well done, Dorothy!"

Throughout my life, you were someone I could look up to and depend on in countless ways. You were my friend, someone I could laugh with, cry with, and share with... someone who always cared. You were my teacher. Your patience and widsom and kind understanding helped me grow. You were an example. You showed me how to be strong and honest and good by being all of those things yourself. You filled my life with joy and happiness and love and fun and laughter - lots of laughter. I could never haved asked for anything more. You've been the best mother there could ever be. I will love you forever, and I will miss you for the rest of my life.

My love and happiness for my mother is very comforting to me. I've let her know that "I was glad that God chose her to be my mother." Her name means "gift of God." She gave so much love to others and in return, received love.

We spent a lot of time with Aunt Dot and her family with trips to the Jersey shore, to Laurel Lake and Crystal Beach. She was always cheerful with a positive attitude and sunny disposi-tion. And we spent many hours playing cards and board games. Everyone wanted to be Aunt Dot's partner. She bravely took me for my driver's license in her red station wagon and I passed! She was a wonderful, loving, unselfish person who will be sorely missed.

Aunt Dot knew me from birth and treated me like one of her daughters. She was like a second mom to me. And Barney was like a dad to me - there was always enough room to fit me in with the other girs to go to mts or shore. Their home was always fun with laughter, board games, puzzels and love. The thing about Aunt Dot is she listened to you, took an interest and remembered my friends' names. My life was so much better because of her.

When I think of my Aunt Dot, I think of laughter; her's and anyone's she was with. I see her in a yellow shift, with vertical navy and white stripes seated next to my mom with same said shift on the boards! What a joyful memory of the escapades they got into! There is a line in a Martina McBride song, In My Daughter's Eyes, "and when I'm gone I still will carry on, cause I'll be there. I'm in my daughter's eyes." Aunt Dot's still here. She's in her daughters' eyes!

What a wonderful woman Mimi is. Her smile and her giggles. She was a great pay-me player.
Two things that pop out wre her playing Till we meet again on her harmonica at her home and at the nursing home, her stories about her mom and teachers she had. I will miss you, but until we meet again.

Beth, I've never seen a smile quite like your Mom's. It came right from the heart and touch you with such sincerity and happiness. You always felt welcomed in her presence and home (even when we came in the wee hours of the morning) and everyone could plainly see that family meant everything.
Although our Lord has her now in His home, her smile will always be in your heart. Peace and love

I have many wonderful memories of Aunt Dot. I remember her telling me “In the Garden” was one of her favorite hymns. It was my mother’s favorite also.
In the Garden
by C. Austin Miles
I come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses,
And the voice I hear falling on my ear,
The Son of God discloses . . .
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other, has ever, known!
He speaks and the sound of His voice,
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that he gave to me,
Within my heart is ringing . . .
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other, has ever, known!
