Please share a memory of Lawrence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lawrence Edward Keen known to his loved ones as "Larry" of Glenolden, PA, passed peacefully on March 23, 2024. Born on April 30, 1945, in Lock Haven, PA, he grew up exploring creeks, parks and drive-ins around the Mill Hall area. He devoted his life to education as a high school math teacher and nurtured a love for woodworking, cars, and music in his leisure. He was a craftsman not only in the workshop but in the classroom and the garage, always ready with a lesson or a lighthearted lecture. Larry's wisdom and guidance flourished within the halls of Interboro High School, where his teaching career spanned several decades, leaving an indelible mark on countless students. His dedication to his subjects was matched only by the joy he found in his hobbies, which he pursued with the same precision and dedication. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and truly enjoyed spending time with people. Many knew him to be funny, kind, insightful and fair. Larry was active for many years at Norwood United Methodist Church, as well as Chester Masonic Lodge and as an advisor to Chester Chapter Order of DeMolay. Mourning his passing while celebrating his rich and fulfilling life are his beloved wife, Merri, his caring sons, David Keen (Michelle) and Collin Keen (Sheri), his granddaughters Audrey Keen, Sydney Keen and Presley Keen, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends, colleagues, and past pupils, all of whom were touched by his spirited character and kindheartedness. The Keen family will be celebrating him privately.
