Obituary of Eleanor K. Bird

Eleanor K. Bird age 91 formerly a longtime resident of Sharon Hill since 1950 passed away on Dec. 24, 2011 at the Simpson House. Eleanor married her husband Russell in 1947. She was a U.S. Marine Veteran serving during WWII. She was a devoted homemaker and also previously worked for the Shiners Hospital of Philadelphia and the Masonic Home of Philadelphia. Eleanor was a member of First Baptist Church of Collingdale. She is predeceased by her husband Russell F. Bird. Survivors: Mother of Mary (John) Bird Wilson, John (Linda) Bird, Doris (Ken) Frazer and Lois (Kent) Kowalski. Grandmother of 11, Great Grandmother 11. Memorial Service: Friday at 12, noon at First Baptist Church of Collingdale, 814 Andrews Ave. Collingdale, PA 19023.
