Here's to Matthew, a man whose heart knew no bounds. Whose spirit of adventure was only rivalled by his penchant for deep thought. His fervent passion echoed through all he touched, leaving no doubt of his fiery spirit. High school years? They certainly added more layers to his magnificent character! Heaven truly gained a lively soul.

I've coached hundreds of young people who shared a love for the game of baseball. I would be hard-pressed to remember someone who had a passion for the game as Lefty did. My time spent with Matt was brief, He was always respectful to people around him. He will be missed.

I loved competing with Matt! Him and I competed on the baseball field and the football field. We competed on the dating scene lol, and we competed as class clowns. After not seeing him for 15 years, we reunited in a very unlikely place and were able to reconnect and have some meaningful conversations. I'm very sorry he was robbed of the time necessary for a man to complete his purpose. You will surely be missed by many as I am just one. R.I.P buddy

You were one of the first people i thought about when i received this news. Going way back to Delcroft, when life was so innocent and easy y'all were some of my first friends. You're right about competing for class clown, y'all were absolutely 2 of my funniest classmates ever lol. 2 decades of not seeing most of our high school classmates is a long time but after spending 13 years together from K-12 we will all always be tied together. This was devastating to hear and i pray his family and as well as yourself find strength in these times..Anthony Choice

It was always fun watching Matt pitch for the DELCO League Aston Knights and to talk to after games. A nice young man that will surely be missed.

Matt was a terrific young man. He was about 12 years old when his dad would bring Matt and Amanda to our house while he worked on projects with Bob. He helped me carry a lot of extra concrete out of the basement while his dad and my husband finished the floor. It took us all day. Matt hung in there with me the entire time. He was a friendly, kind and thoughtful young man. I'm so sorry that his bright smiling face is no longer in the world.
Larry, Marie, Amanda and Kiera, I'm so sorry for your loss. I pray the lord with help comfort you.

Through the hallowed halls of Academy Park and on the vibrant pitches, we remember Matthew, whose laughter was a beacon of joy to all who had the delight to know him. His athletic prowess remains imprinted in our hearts as vividly as his charm that left anyone he encountered enchanted. He was like the verdant field under sunny skies - vital and inviting. May his memory serve as an enduring reminder of lives well-lived and friendships deeply cherished. The curtains have closed but his legend endures forevermore.

Marie and Larry I know nothing I say can ever heal the hole in your hearts. All I can say is that Matt was a good guy and we liked him. This news hurts my heart.

Don't know where to begin, countless times and memories at AP. You were an awesome friend to have and I will miss you. I remember creating the rat pak in my 10th grade year and who would know you would be gone 21 years later. RatPak4Life, rest easy Matt I will miss you.

Matt was a very inspiring person. We were blessed to know him and his family. He was so helpful and wanted to express his love. The last time we saw him was when he was restoring his grandfathers house and he asked us to keep an eye on his Mom and Dad. He was always concerned about others and his family.
