Obituary of Marion H. Messick

Marion H. Messick, of Collingdale, PA., went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2023. The family rejoices that she has been united with Christ and reunited with her beloved husband David after 58 years. Marion was a loving mother to her three children, Dana Messick (Carol) Of Aston, PA., Gail Stewart (Drew) of Holtwood, PA. and Perry Messick( Deborah) of Collingdale, PA. She was also the proud grandmother of 9, and great grandmother of 17. Marion was a woman with a servant-heart. She went out of her way to help others in need. Originally from Sharon Hill where she loved and cared for her yard, she grew up attending Mt Zion Methodist Church in Darby, PA. She served as a secretary to the Principal at Folcroft Vo-Tech School More recently she has been an active member of the First Baptist Church of Collingdale. Marion was predeceased by her husband David E. Messick, her parents Joseph and Marion Hallas and her brother Evan Hallas and Donald Hallas. Funeral Services: 11am, Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S. Chester Pike Glenolden, PA. 19036 Visitation: 10-11am at the funeral home.
