Obituary of Catherine M. Bittle
Catherine M. “Kay” Bittle, age 93, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2023.
Kay was a graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School (now Nativity H.S.), before she achieved her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Temple University. After graduation, Kay worked for Temple Univ. as an accountant for almost 20 years before her retirement.
She is predeceased by her Husband of 32 years Charles Bittle, Daughters Karen, Alice, and Anne Bittle, and Brothers Thomas (Jane), John (Marlene), and Richard McGuire.
Survivors: Loving Mother of Barbara Federici, Mark (Cathy) Bittle, and Cynthia Bittle, cherished Sister of Frank (Dominique) McGuire and Sister-in-law of Lois Athearn, dear Grandmother of Victoria (Timothy) Chauncey, and Sean Bittle, Great Grandmother of Benjamin and Alexander Chauncey, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Little Flower Manor and Holy Redeemer Hospice for their compassion and care during the last year of Kay’s life.
Funeral Mass: 10AM on Mon. 5/8 at St. George’s Church, Lamont Ave., Glenolden PA.
Viewing: 6-8PM on Sun. 5/7 at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden PA.
Burial: SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield PA.
