Obituary of Anne R. Boyer
Anne Rita Boyer (nee Joyce), age 93 of Springfield, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on April 13th, 2023.
Born and raised in West Philadelphia, Anne was a graduate of West Catholic Girls School. After graduating, she went on to work briefly for General Accident Insurance before starting her career at Defense Personnel Support Center where she was introduced to her sweetheart Edward J. Boyer. Edward and Anne married in 1957 and started their family. A devoted homemaker, Anne adored spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed travelling to Ireland two different times to visit family. After raising her children, Anne worked seasonally at the Irish Kiosk in the Springfield Mall, as well as the Devon Horse Show. In her free time, Anne enjoyed seeing friends at The Schoolhouse Senior Center in Folsom, as well as reading, going to the library, and knitting. She was a parishioner at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
She is predeceased by her husband Edward J. Boyer, and parents Martin and Anna Joyce.
Survivors: Beloved Mother of Anne (John) Steenberge, Kevin (Kelly) Boyer, John (Debbie) Boyer, and Michael (Karen) Boyer, as well as 14 adoring grandchildren and 6 loving great grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday April 20th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2130 Franklin Ave, Morton, PA.
Viewing: 10:00-11:00AM on Thursday April 20th at the church
Burial immediately following at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield PA.
