I'm so sorry to learn that Al passed away. I met him when I was hired to work in the office of Tully Memorial Church and we became friends. Along with the Office Mgr duties, I took over his Treasurer's position when he left Tully for Manoa. I knew your mom, Helen, as well. Al and I would exchange emails, especially after I left Tully, and he loved to share stories of your family dinners and trips. I had hoped on one of your Cape May trips that you all might stop in at our house but once we moved here full time, I think that trip started getting too hard for your mom.
I emailed Al a few months ago and realized I had not heard back. My husband, Nick, checked the internet and found that he had passed in January.
He was a good friend for those 15 yrs that I worked for Tully and along with Dot and a few other members and pastors along the way, made it a good place to work for the Lord. That was important to me as this was a second career for me after having worked in IT for Conrail for 22 years. Al kept that place going and he was truly missed when he left.
Again, I am so sorry for your loss and very sorry we missed his services.

Al was my co worker at Manoa Community Church. He was always full of joy, and took the "money counting" he did very seriously.
But most of all he loved the Church, Pastor Stefan, and his Savior, Jesus Christ. Many Sunday's after the service before Al would collect the tithes, he sometimes made a comment to me about the sermon, " It can't get any better than this!" He loved hearing the WORD.
We will all miss him and the joy and his steadfast desire to serve weekly, change the church signage and count the tithing.
I will miss you Al !

Bud was such a loving and kind man. He was always smiling and never failed to ask us about our dog. We will surely miss his presence in church. We share your sadness in his passing and pray for God's comfort and peace for each of you.
