Obituary of Sarah A Dougherty

Sarah Ann (Sadie) Dougherty nee Dolan of Glenolden, PA, died on September 13, 2022 surrounded by her family. Sadie was the youngest child of Rose and William Dolan born on October 12, 1935 in Philadelphia. She attended St. Barnabas Grade School and graduated from St. Monica's Commercial High School. She was a member of St George Parish for over 50 years and served the Borough of Glenolden for decades as the Borough Secretary and Tax Collector.

Sadie married Joseph Dougherty in 1954 and welcomed 4 children, Joseph, Donna, Bill and Denise. After being widowed, Sadie met Tom MacIntosh and have been together for 37 years.

Sadie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph Dougherty, brother Joseph Dolan, sister Kathleen Clark and son-in-law Larry Muldowney. She is survived by Tom MacIntosh, by her children Joseph (Donna) Dougherty, Donna Muldowney, Bill (Christine) Dougherty and Denise (Craig) Talley and 7 Grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, along with Tom's children, Billy (Madeline), Michael (Becky), Tommy (Donna), Tim MacIntosh and Peggy (Brian) Sweeney with 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly and treated to Hess Trucks every Christmas.

Funeral Mass: 10:30am on Monday, Sept 19, 2022 at St Gabriel's Church, Mohawk Ave Norwood, PA. 19074.
