Obituary of Michael J. Hedderich
Michael J. Hedderich, age 78 of Glenolden, passed away on September 4, 2022.
Michael was born in Whitesboro, NY to the late Arthur and Mary Hedderich. A U.S. Army Veteran, Michael served as a Specialist Sergeant during the Vietnam war, where he earned two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for his honorable service. Soon after, he married his sweetheart Jo-Ann in 1970 and went on to work as a switchman for Bell Telephone for 38 years before his retirement. For many years, Michael coached girls soccer for the Glenolden youth club, served on the board of directors at Glenolden Swim Club, and assistant scout master for Glenolden Troop #44, as well as was an active member of the American Legion Sherril Post #230.
Survivors: Beloved husband of 52 years of Jo-ann Hedderich, loving father of Mick Hedderich and Thomas (Nicole) Hedderich, cherished grandfather of Branden and Joshua Hedderich, dear brother of Susanne LaLonde, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass: 10AM on Fri. 9/9 at St. George's Catholic Church, Lamont Ave., Glenolden PA. Mass will also be hosted through ZOOM, Join Zoom Meeting
