Gene had Perfect Pitch, which is great for a musician, but not so good for a listener. The piano was never in tune!
She also was a "clothes horse." Her account at Talbots was highly active and her closet reflected her excellent taste in fashion.
Besides that, she liked to get her hair done and be pampered while it happened.
As a very particular person, she had high standards for everything, and was always willing to share her opinion.
Rest easy, auntie, you deserve it after 98.6 years of healthy living.
PS. The house where she was born in 1923 was her grandparents, and is now noted as a Historic Site in Minersville.
