Obituary of Louis M. Salomone

Louis M. Salomone "Lou" age 84 of Glenolden passed away on Oct. 14, 2011 at Springfield Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Lou was born and raised in West Phila. He attended St. Donata School and graduated from Overbrook High School. He was a US Navy veteran serving aboard a submarine tender. He retired from Ryder Truck Co. after 25 years where he was a mechanic and then became a Safety Manager. He was previously employed as a mechanic/supervisor at Bond Bread Co. for over 26 years. He enjoyed his retirement years in his hobby of photography. He had a great sense of humor and people enjoyed being in his company. Predeceased by his parents Luigi and Carmela Salomone and sister Jay Blair. Survivors: His beloved wife of 54 years Kathleen Salomone (nee Courtney), Devoted father of Michael (MaryGrace) Salomone, Donna (John) Bender and Proud Grandfather of Jonathan and Christopher Bender, Amanda, Michael and Julia Salomone.
