John J. "Jack" Shepeski Jr., 89, of Glenolden passed away in his home on November 1, 2021. He was well loved by his family, friends and neighbors.
Jack lived a full life and never failed to keep everyone entertained with all his tales and escapades. Always a hard worker, Jack pretty much helped build or repair most of Philadelphia and the surrounding area as a long time member and retiree of Local 401 Ironworkers Union.
He was a proud United States Navy Veteran who spent his time of service and tour of duty on the USS Steinaker.
Born in South Philadelphia, Jack appreciated growing up during a simpler time. He played football with the Cheyenne Indians and played the banjo with Quaker City String Band. Most importantly, it was in South Philadelphia that he met and married the love of his life, Bernice. They were happily married for 63 years before her passing.
Jack also enjoyed his home in the Pocono Mountains, especially during hunting season. He developed a love for golf and a passion for music, whether playing, listening or singing.
He is predeceased by his wife Bernice Shepeski, son John J. Shepeski III and daughter Bernice Evans.
Survivors: Loving father of Marion (Helen Schwartz) Shepeski and Ed (Jackie) Shepeski, cherished grandfather of Kimberly (Stephen), Bernice, Jaci, Eddie, Kevin, Emily, Ella, Ava and Delaney, great grandfather of Chelsea, Kimberly and Tommy and great great grandfather of Michael.
Nice Guy Jack from Golden Glenolden will surely be missed.
