We were so blessed to spend a few days with Charlie in May and had so much fun as he showed us all around Philly. We’ll remember what a great cousin he was and will miss him. May God bless and comfort his family and friends as they mourn their loss.

You were the BEST neighbor on Washington Avenue, Woodlyn. Hands down - nobody could rival your energy, kindness, smile and raspy, Philly voice! We always knew when you were outside talking to your dear parents! We will miss the life you brought to the hood with your poker nights. You were taken from us far too early. We were all supposed to grow old together and complain about the young kids in the neighborhood together (ha, ha). The neighborhood will never be the same without you. You were the rock on our street that gathered everyone together. We had so many future events to share with you. We are very happy to have celebrated a family gathering with you at our house in April. I will cherish the photos of you and although they will bring a tear to my eye, I will also be smiling. You certainly lit up a room upon entering and that light will surely be missed. You left a hole that can never be filled, that's how unique you were. You taught us how to love EVERYONE, and that was inspirational. We miss you already. From your loving neighbors, Toni & Nick.

What a beautiful, accurate tribute to one of the most amazing people that I have ever known. I can’t believe what I’m reading. This can’t be.
What happened? How did we lose him? Can someone please tell me? 70 years was not enough. The hole in many hearts won’t ever be filled.

My dear kind cousin. I will miss your kindness and your love of family. I will always cherish the memories of spending time with you as you always opened your home to Kelly and I on our visits, even giving up your own bed to us as you would sleep on your couch! We will always miss you but will never forget you. I love you my Cousin To my wonderful Aunt & Uncle, The person he was is a reflection of who you are, I Love you so dearly and we're so sorry for your great loss.. Jimmy & Kelly Read

RIP CHARLIE !! you were a great kind, considerate man! You were a great neighbor to my son, a few years ago; and to his wife and his sons! Always visited out back talking to the kids through the fence while showing so muck love and care to them and to the rest of the family ! As my son’s mom; You always made sure that I had a cup of your coffee. I remember just talking about everything and anything with a couple of laughs in between! You will be sadly missed by all.
RIP Charlie !
