Obituary of Richard R. Pulcher

Richard "Rick" Pulcher passed away on June 14th, 2021 at the age of 64. Born and raised in Drexel Hill and Clifton Heights, PA, Rick was a lifelong resident of Collingdale. As a young man, Rick played in the Archer-Epler Drum and Bugle Corps from 1972-1975, he also was a Firefighter for Clifton Heights Fire Co. Rick met the love of his life, Susan MacMullin on July 16th, 1972, while attending Upper Darby High School. They married on December 3rd, 1977 and were blessed with their only child, Christopher on September 9th, 1983. Rick began his career working in auto body at age seventeen followed by high profile security until retiring in 2014. Rick was an active member of his community. Starting the first all-girls tee ball team, he spent fifteen years with the Collingdale Athletic Club, twelve of them serving as President. He joined Collingdale Fire Co #2 (42), serving as Chief Engineer for ten years and later as Vice President. He was honored in 2020 as a Lifetime Member and also volunteered six years with the Collingdale Board of Health and four years with Delcora. Rick enjoyed attending and watching football games. "Go Eagles!" Being an avid fan of the NHRA, he and his son would attend events twice a year with friends and family members. Rick had a passion for life and for his family and friends. He was proud of his grandchildren, Aiden (13) and Ethan (9), often taking them for tours around the firehouse. He is predeceased by his parents Richard and Catherine Pulcher, in-laws James and Malinda MacMullin, sister in law Patricia MacMullin, brothers in law James and Robert MacMullin Survivors: Beloved husband of 43 years and high school sweetheart of Susan Pulcher, loving father of Christopher (William Stewart) Pulcher, cherished grandfather of Aiden and Ethan Pulcher, and their mother Jennifer Zimmermann, dear brother of Betsy (Jack) Siegman, brother in law of Mary (John) Kelly, and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and fur babies(dogs) Noel and Sammie. Funeral Service: 11AM on Saturday, June 26, at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden PA. Visitation: 9-11AM on Saturday, June 26th at the funeral home. Burial: SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Collingdale Fire Company Station #33, 510 Clifton Ave, Collingdale, PA 19023
