Obituary of James P Reardon

James P. Reardon, Jr. 65 of Millville, Delaware formerly of Collingdale, a retired supervisor from Sun Oil passed away suddenly on Feb. 10, 2010 at Atlantic General Hospital in Maryland. Born in Philadelphia, he was a longtime resident of Collingdale. Mr. Reardon graduated from St. James High School, Class of 1962. A dedicated firefighter for over 42 years & lifetime Member, Past President and Past Chief of Collingdale Fire Company #1, where he also held numerous other positions. He is a member of Millville Volunteer Fire Company in DE where his job is with the Fire Police. He was Past President of Keystone State Fire Chief Association, and a longtime Board member of Collingdale Fireman's Relief Assoc, serving as treasure for over 20 years. A member of Delaware Valley Fire Chiefs Assoc, Firemen's Assoc of The State of Pennsylvania and Delaware County Firemen's Assoc He was a member of the Ancient Hibernians in Maryland and a member of the Delmarva Assoc in Maryland He was also a board member of the Banks Harbor Retreat Marina in DE. A member St. Anne's Church in Bethany Beach DE. and former member of St. Joseph Church in Collingdale. Predeceased by his parents James and Anna Reardon. Survivors: Wife: Kathy Reardon (Nee Cohan) Daughter: Missy DiGiacomo of Glenolden Sons: James Reardon of Springfield and Jake Reardon of Merion Station Grandchildren: Kathleen, Louis, Mary, Jimmy, McKenna and Coleman Brothers Tony Reardon of Texas, Tina Scott of Brookhaven and Bill Reardon of Glenolden Nieces and nephews.
