Aunt Lil, Morris, Lil,
Just wanted to share with some of my memories of Uncle Morris, as he was a good man who was a big part of was a big part of some of the happiest times in my life...The Vilas, the beach, Phillies games, cable tv in the Vilas, his 8-track tape player which he generously let me use any time I wanted (Neil Diamond, The Bee Gees, Chicago, Kenny Rogers and the 1st Edition)...So many happy memories, laughter fun. When the Phillies won the World Series in 1980, I can’t remember any details at all about how I reacted or how David and my Dad reacted, but one thing is crystal clear in my memory...Moments after Tug McGraw struck out Willie Wilson to clinch the series for the Phils, the phone rang...I said “Hello” and on the other end was Uncle Morris’s voice...”We did it” he exclaimed...I’ll always remember that. Although he wasn’t related to me by blood, he may as well have been. I always felt comfortable when he was around, as we all did. You could talk with him and joke with him, but maybe the thing that stands out the most is that ever since I was a boy he always gave me the feeling that he was happy to see me and that he liked me...And I liked him too...A lot.
Love,
Eric

Ever since I have known Moe in my childhood days, he has been a caring, generous and funny man. Moe was another one in a long line of my friends’ dads who taught us how to be men. They have led by example with their love for family, hard work and willingness to sacrifice for others. Over the past 20+ years, I was lucky enough to share a million laughs with him at countless Phillies games. I will miss his stories and his pizzelles, but most of all his kindhearted sense of humor. Those who knew him well knew that his wife, children and granddaughter meant everything to him. But he also had an impact on many other lives, including mine. While the games will never be the same for us, I will always cherish memories we have all had together and he will always be there with us in spirit.
To Lillian, Mo, Lil and Kimberly, my deepest condolences to you and your extended family. May Mr. Moe rest in eternal peace. Joey
