Obituary of George J. Dorman
Please share a memory of George to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
George J. Dorman II "Buddy" age 45 of Glenolden passed away peacefully on August 26, 2020.
Born on September 13, 1974
Buddy was a 1992 graduate of Interboro High School. Throughout high school, he loved to dance! He was likely to be found somewhere on a dance floor showing off his moves like Jager or breakdancing on some old cardboard in the driveway with the neighborhood friends. The other contestants in the '92 high school talent show didn't stand a chance when Vanilla Ice and his backup dancers entered the stage! It never shocked anyone to hear him say on a Friday night "Grab the party ball tap and let's go" with an unknown adventure ahead!
He was a huge dog lover who always had a soft spot for his pitbulls. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar and his Philadelphia Eagles. After some trade schooling, he went on to turn his love of cars into his career. He was an autobody painter well into his later years. Buddy was also a really good cook and loved to make a mess on the grill!
Buddy's greatest enjoyment in life came in the form of his 3 children. He would spend hours on a baseball field watching his boys play ball, with his daughter right alongside of him. When they weren't on the field, Buddy loved to take them fishing. He took great pride in all of their accomplishments, both big and small and always pushed them to do their best and to never give up. He wouldn't think twice though to do whatever he could to make his kids laugh and smile and get a lil' crazy! Nothing brought him more happiness than horsing around with them and their pitty, Luna!
Survivors: Loving father of Hunter James Dorman, Colin Matthew Dorman and Caitlyn May Dorman, beloved son of George "Bud" and Dorothy "Dottie" Dorman, loving brother of Linda Dorman and David Dorman and dear uncle of Joshua, Brianna, Kyle, Carmine and Abby.
